My world through Instagram

My laptop battery kicked the bucket last night, so I'm stuck with using my phone for facebooking, blogging ect ect until next week. But I have found out that I can type up a blog post faster on my phone than on my laptop! I got speedy texting fingers(thumbs) doncha know;)
Anyways! I've been setting here for the last 30 minutes going through all the pictures on my phone and I've discovered a bunch of good ones and some strange/interesting ones that I don't remember taking...
And after playing with the pics on Instagram, this is what they look like:
Um Sadie??
Purdy Osage County Sunset
Ol Blake-y Poo
Little Britches and Bo Bo
Little Britches pettin' Blake

Front Yard and the Bunkhouse
Coyote skull that I found in the horse trap....before me and Little Britches even got back to the house, we had him named.  And what is his name?  Fred the Unlucky Coyote.  Ahaha yep.  Oh and Fred now resides on the roof above my door, so if my "We don't call 911" sign don't scare ya off, the snaggle-tooth coyote skull probably will!
Mick and his blanket
Boy I sure do have long legs!!haha
Supper time for my boys
"Blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots..."
Bo Bo the incredibly CUTE donkey
Doc
Blazer...I ain't got no comment bout this.

Untitled

It's nights like these...

The low rumble of thunder off in the south
The never-ending song of the whippoorwill & crickets
The fireflies lighting up the complete blackness of a moonless night
The squeak of a fan that sets in my window, sucking in the cool mid-May air
The smell of the rain drenched trees and grasses
The peacefulness of  it all

That are burned into my heart; that I'll remember all my life...it's hard to explain how it is out here after a thunder storm, but it's wonderfully beautiful in it's hard to explain entirety.....

I declare it to be Suuuuummmmmer!

So let's see...I haven't posted a good story beside's the Daily Snapshots for quite a while.  And I really don't have a good story to post tonight, but I can ramble a little and post a picture or two and make it work ;)

My mid-May "Summer" collage;
A sure 'nuff summer lookin Sunset | Shorts with tall top boots | Reflections in my shiny sunglasses | Rose Moss in full bloom | Blake in the sunlight | And my favorite pair of tore-up jeans

The weather has finally decided to turn warm and I absolutely L.O.V.E it!!  Nothin' like watchin the sun go down at 8:45 and it be 78* out at dark.  So I think I'll go ahead and declare it Summertime!!haha  Everything is sooo GREEN down along the creek right now. Beautifully, Gorgeously GREEEEEEN!!!!  And the grass in the horse trap is already brushes the horse's bellies, course the horses are fat enough that its not really for the grass to touch their bellies!ha  Speaking of horses....
My purdy Tonto(Just thought I'd throw that picture in ;) )

We've had on and off rain/storms today, but as the sun went down, there was blue sky in the west....
....Or kinda yellowish sky.

Anyways,
Notice how all the pictures I've posted in this post + some of my Daily Snapshots are square and vintage-y looking?  This is all because I have found the most awesome app for my iPhone!  It's called Instagram and has some awesome effects for pictures that you take with your phone.  And the best part?  It's completely F.R.E.E!!  So if you have a iPhone(not sure if they have it for other smartphones), go download this app!
Yesterday's storms went south of us but boy were there some monster thunderheads!

My barn + my shadow

Sunlight flickering through the Sycamore tree

Hmmm, I guess that's all I have to share tonight, but I promise, I will start posting more stories and pictures instead of just the daily snapshots!:)

Daily Snapshot~~Day 74

Me, dad and Little Britches
So we went fishing tonight.  But dad and mom were the only ones who caught any fish, and even those fish were little.  So what did we do with them?  We filled a bucket up full of water, stuck 'em in there and hauled them back home with us, then dumped them out in our little pond!!

*Ya'll get more than one Daily Snapshot for today!  Here's more pics of our "Fish Release" that mama took*

Now if all goes as planed, we're gonna have us a little fishin pond right by the house!;)

Daily Snapshot~~Day 41

This is how we're keeping out screen door closed....why you ask?
Well, there's a good story to this.
See yesterday morning our heater went out and my dad was none-too-happy about it(mainly because it was 9 degrees outside and 61 degrees in the house).
Back to the door latch.  It was half-way broken already, so when Dear Ol Daddy, a.k.a Jackie Chan, tried to go out the door and the latch wouldn't open, he "kaa-powed" it with his hand and broke it.  So that was the end of the little door latch and now the door is held shut with a nail and bread tie thingy!
Case Closed!

Oh and we are going to get another latch....wouldn't want anybody to think we're a buncha Rednecks or anything!;)
.............
Oh wait, we are a bunch of Rednecks.....never mind.

What was I*UP* to yesterday?

Good Morning, Good Morning!  It's extremely cold and foggy outside this morning, so that pretty much blew my plans of going out to take pictures of my horses!  But I do have some pictures to share from our little weekly trip to the woods yesterday.  While mama and Little Britches and my aunt were poking around in the woods, I found me and good spot to play look-out.
So let us see some pictures that I took while I was being the "Indian Scout"(as my auntie called me!)

Down to my right, I can see.....
My ol trusty .22-250 Rifle!
And off to left I can see....
A un-known creek bottom that is perfect for deer hunting!
And when I look straight down I see....
My beautiful Twisted X Boots!
So where was I at?
I was....
Up a Tree!!

But where is my look-out spot?  'Fraid I can't tell ya'll that!  It's on some un-known bend on my creek!  And in my daddy's words, it would be a extremely good place to hide from Indians!hahaha
