Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding

I don't really know what to name this one, so just read it!;)

You can walk out the door about 10 minutes after the sun sets, on a night like tonight, there’s a quietness that consists of the loud noises of the locus and tree frogs down along the creek and the sounds of the wind as it rattles the leaves in the trees.  There’s a smell in the air, sorta a sweet smell that comes from the wild flowers and weeds growing out in the pasture that really can’t be explained.  Even in July, on a night like this, the south wind can send goose bumps up your arms, just because of the way it drifts over you, as if you’re not really there.  The last bit of light outlines the storm clouds in the west, giving them a eerie look.  You can turn your eyes to the wavy, dark blue clouds that lay in the sky overhead, looking at them clouds, you know, there is a God, could this land, this sound, this feel come from just a “accident”?  I don’t think so, God made this, thank him for it, stop to listen to the land, and stop to see His handy work.
I wrote this tonight after being inspired by God's amazing work in the outdoors around my house!

  1. You described that feeling well. It's why there are no real cowboys who ever doubt there is a God in Heaven. They may not worship in a building but in every act of kindness for an animal in need of help, or every time he looks heavenward he sees His hand and praises his God.

    Good job.
